NSUK Vice Chancellor Postpones SUG Election To Next Year

The Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi Professor Akaro Mainoma has today postponed the Student Union Government election in the varsity to next year.

This heart-drenching news came when the Forum of Faculty Presidents, Nasarawa State University paid a visit to the office of the Vice Chancellor.

This he said was as a result of the Senate resolution which stated that; "all those who participated in the water strike must graduate before an SUG election will hold". Therefore he was only obeying the Senate resolution.

He further revealed that his earlier decision to hold the elections this semester was because he had assumed the last set who participated in the water strike were those who just graduated.

Other matters raised by the faculty presidents were the issue of remittance to faculties and various departments and the Vice Chancellor's Sports competition, of which the Vice Chancellor affirmed that student remittance would be disbursed soon and the unit involve would look into the issue of Vice Chancellor's sports competition.
