S.U.G Election Will Hold Next Semester - NSUK Vice Chancellor

Nasarawa State University, Keffi is now set to hold elections for its Students Union Government (S.U.G) as the Vice Chancellor Professor Akaro Mainoma had affirmed today.

This cheering news came when the Forum of Faculty Presidents, Nasarawa State University held a closed door meeting with the Vice Chancellor and some of the management staff of the university.

The group who had Aliyu Tala Safiyanu of the Faculty of Social Sciences Students Association (FOSSSA), his Faculty of Administration, Law and Agriculture counterparts, Comrade Sadiq Abdulrazaq Abubakar, Comrade Bewo B Sani and Comrade Khalid Abubakar Idris in attendance drew the attention of the Vice Chancellor on the need for an S.U.G in the university.

Professor Mainoma in his response revealed that the process for the S.U.G election would start by the beginning of next semester.

"By the resumption of next semester a committee would be put in place to conduct the election and the election would hold before next semester examination commence", he added.

Other dignitaries present at the meeting were the new Registrar, Alhaji Bala Ahmed and the new Librarian, Dr. Abdulkadir Aliyu.
