Nasarawa State University, Keffi To Hold Convocation Ceremony In May 2017

The Nasarawa State University, Keffi is set to hold its 5th Convocation Ceremony between 5th and 6th May 2017.

This was disclosed by the Acting head, Information and Protocol Unit of the University, Mr. Abraham Ekpo, yesterday at his office.

Ekpo revealed that the ceremony will commence on 4th May with a press conference where the Vice Chancellor is expected to address the media on the essence of the ceremony. On 5th May the investiture of the new Chancellor of the University (Emir of Keffi) following the demise of the former one will take place by 4pm as well as the convocation lecture which will be delivered by the minister of interior, Abdulrahman Dambazzau, which will be followed by a Gala night by 7pm on the same day.

While the Convocation ceremony proper will be on 6th May, 2017 where best graduating students from every department are to be rewarded for outstanding effort and remarkable academic performances.

"We just had a meeting concerning the Convocation ceremony and all plans are already on ground and all hands are on deck to ensure the success of the ceremony''. He assured.

The last time the Nasarawa State University, Keffi had convocation was in 2009, however, there are indications that the school management and the Mainoma led Administration are hoping to make it a more regular event.
