New Registrar, Librarian, Bursar May Emerge This Week

Following the successful screening of the candidates for the positions of the Registrar, Librarian and the expected completion of the process tomorrow with those for the Bursar, it is anticipated that the Governing Council may convene a meeting to select those to occupy the 3 offices in Nasarawa State University, Keffi. 

The Council members commenced the screening process today, and successfully grilled applicants for the post of the Registrar and the Librarian, including Alhaji Jameel Zakari, the overwhelming favourite to succeed the outgoing Registrar, Alhaji Dalhatu Mamman. 

The Council members headed by its Chairman, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, will continue with the process tomorrow with those for the position of the Bursar. 

It is expected that the Council may decide to make their choice immediately after the interview, or call for an expanding Council meeting on a later date to make a decision. The decision will be based on the applicant's performance and compliance with the criteria needed for the respective job. 

The 3 new principal officers will take over from the present occupants when their tenure expires on the 25th of February, 2017. 

Both the Registrar and the Bursar have been in the saddle for 10 years, having served two terms of 5 years each.
